Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs Resigns

Although resigned from the role of CEO, Jobs will still be a part of Apple’s Board, and highly recommended Cook as his replacement.

Jobs was in the news early this year due to a “indefinite medical leave of absence” which had the whole media world buzzing. During this period, cook took on Jobs’ work on a temporary basis.

Jobs’ previous medical history includes Pancreatic cancer as well as a liver transplant. In 2004, Jobs contracted Pancreatic Cancer, which he beat. Then Jobs underwent a liver transplant in 2009, and also made a full recovery. During Jobs’ absence in 2009, then COO Tim Cook took over Apple’s day-to-day activities.

Sprint to Offer the iPhone  in

October

iphone 5 sprint

The iPhone 5  is expected to arrive on Sprint, AT&T and Verizon in October, and the device is supposed to get an improved camera, but not a front facing LED flash. The fifth generation Apple smartphone, that may even be called iPhone 4S, will probably resemble the iPhone 4, but fans are hoping that it will be lighter and slimmer than its predecessor.

Neither Apple nor Sprint commented on the latest rumors, which claim that Sprint will start carrying the iPhone.

Sprint Keeps Quiet About the Latest Rumors, iPhone 5 to Have Smaller Display

According to Sprint Feed, Sprint employees have received a memo instructing them on how to deal with customers who are asking if they will carry the iPhone, or when the iPhone  will be released.

The employees are permitted to acknowledge rumors that have spread through the media, like the article in Wall Street Journal which says that Sprint will carry the iPhone, and to refer the customer to Sprint.com Newsroom for the latest info.

The rumors that Sprint will carry the iPhone 5 has been around for some time now, but so far, neither Sprint or Apple have confirmed or denied this.

This latest development will only make customers more restless, as the predicted launch date is almost here and we’re not even sure who will carry it yet.

The iPhone is currently only available from Verizon and AT&T; the addition of Sprint as the 3rd iPhone carrier will make a lot of iPhone fans happy.

iPhone′s Display to Be Smaller than 4 Inches

A new rumor contradicting the previous “4.2 inches screen” old one has surfaced, courtesy of DigiTimes. According to their source, a big panel supplier, the upcoming device’s screen will measure less than 4 inches and will be somewhere in the 3.5-3.7 inch range.

If the newest rumors are true, and the new iPhone will get a 3.5-3.7 inch display, then it may be possible that we’ll actually only see a 4S this Fall, but if they do come out with a 4.2 inch screen, the iPhone will look a lot different than the current 3.5 inch display iPhone 4 and will be on par with most current smartphones.
It also looks like the back side design will be changed. The current reinforced glass chassis will be changed to a metal one.

Just like with any other rumor out there, no one can tell for sure how the iPhone 5 will look like, what its capabilities will be, or who will carry it besides AT&T and Verizon. Hopefully, the latest rumored release date, October 7th, will prove to be true. Until then, we can only hope that Apple will make the right decision and bring us an iPhone that will rival any other smart phone currently on the market.

iOS 5 Beta 3 Adds Gestures that Replace Hardware Buttons

iOS 5 Beta 3 Adds Gestures that Replace Hardware Buttons
Apple has released the newest beta of their upcoming iOS 5 mobile operating system, and one of the quickly discovered new features is a gesture interface that provides the same functionality as the iPhone and iPad’s hardware buttons. Listed under the Accessibility setti...

Macrumors turned to digital art company CiccareseDesign, to “create high-quality renderings made as closely as possible to the original leaked case designs. Measurements were taken against the original case design leaks, and then imported into 3D modeling software.”

Will the iPhone 5 look like this?

The design company basically reversed engineered the case blueprint to create an accurate rendering of how the iPhone 5 will look like.

Judging from both the “case schematic” leak, and Macrumors’ ingenious idea of creating a render, we can safely say that these depictions have a 99% possibility of being accurate.

Well, iPhone Jailbreak is never illegal — it just allows us some extra bit of control on the iOS file system, literally going to its roots and make changes as per our choice and wish. But, Apple is vehemently against the idea — failing to win in court they are trying to ‘stop’ jailbreaking by means of technology. With all the patches and updates, Apple is making lives difficult for the jailbreak community. Not only the Apple guys try to eradicate bugs, they do almost everything to stop jailbreaking.

Jailbreaking iOS 5: Apple determined to stop; we optimist

5.Remember all those rumors of  a mini iPhone 5 that we had for a while? Well this blurry looking, oddly cropped image claimed to show an actual iPhone 5 mini prototype. To be honest I don’t believe it will ever come to light, but it does look pretty cool.
